One of my top picks has to be Cafe their sandwiches and coffee are top-notch, perfect for quick bite between classes. If you're in the mood for something more substantial, head over to The Galley. This place serves up delicious seafood dishes that will make your taste buds dance with joy.

Plus, the cozy atmosphere makes it great spot for unwinding after long day of studying. For those looking for healthier option, Fresh Blends is the place to be. Their smoothie bowls are not only Instagram-worthy but also super tasty and packed with all the good stuff your body craves. And let's not forget about dessert! If you have sweet tooth like me, Sweet Carolina Cupcakes is must-visit. Their cupcakes are pure heaven in every bite trust me on this one. Now, I'm curious have any of you stumbled upon any hidden foodie treasures the college? Share your recommendations; I'm always on the lookout for new places to try!

One spot I highly recommend is The Local on 17th. It has a cozy vibe and amazing food choices that won't break the bank! In terms of student-friendly spots, I also love hitting up Southern Eats. Their fried chicken is a game-changer, and the mac 'n cheese is to die for! Plus, it's super close to campus, making it a convenient option between classes.

I noticed there haven't been any comments yet, so I wanted to ask if anyone has tried the new food truck that's been popping up near campus? I've heard mixed reviews and am curious to hear what others think! When it comes to dining near campus, it's all about convenience and affordability for us college students. But we also want delicious food that hits the spot after a long day of classes and studying! 💙

On-campus options (actually at Armstrong):
  • The Galley—main dining hall, all-you-care-to-eat, actually pretty solid food
  • Starbucks—in the student union, standard Starbucks fare
  • Southern Cafe—newer spot in the MCC building, does paninis and soups
  • Various grab-and-go options in different buildings
    Nearby (within 5-10 min drive):
  • Abercorn Street has EVERYTHING—fast food chains, sit-down restaurants, grocery stores
  • Taco Mex (family-owned, amazing)
  • Siam Kitchen (Thai, so good)
  • Publix (grocery store with excellent subs)
    Downtown Savannah (20+ min):
  • Sweet Carolina Cupcakes, The Gallery Espresso, everything historic
So yes Sweet Carolina is amazing but it's not "near the Armstrong Campus" unless your definition of near is very generous 😂 Still worth the trip though!
