Currently grinding through my bioinformatics here at Georgia State in bustling Atlanta, world away from my hometown of Warner Robins. Now, while may not be an this school alum, it's been impossible to ignore the chatter surrounding their recent merger. I'm curious to hear from those directly impacted. Mean, we all know that university mergers can be sticky wicket at the best of times faculty and courses shuffling around, changes in campus culture, heck even school mascots are fair game. And that's without even getting into how it influences student life directly. So, for you Rams out there who've experienced this fmy program the campus, what’s the skinny? Has your experience been like something out of an episode of “Community, with everything turned upside down?
Or have things settled down into new normal? And while we're on another note, shifting gears slightly my daughter’s fresh acceptance letter from Emory is sitting on our kitchen table and as parent, I'm wondering about the campus security and student support services over there. Any insider intel would be much appreciated. Like said, boy! Navigating the changes that come with university life sure can throw us for loop sometimes. At any rate, it's all part of this wild journey called higher education.
