Well, this is my first time posting here and need some serious advice. See, I’m career counselor at Kennesaw State University (any Owls out there? Working with students to help them weave through the maze that is post-graduation life. So I’ve heard all about those days from tons of students but it seems to be taking an extra toll on this fella. And get it swapping sandy beaches for mountains, palm trees for Georgia pines… mean, who wouldn't be nostalgic? Anybody got any nuggets of wisdom on overcoming homesickness that first semester?
Especially considering the unique twist we've got with kid coming in from Florida? On another note any feedback on Mercer’s Education program? Have student thinking of transferring there and she’d love some insider info.
Thanks in advance, everybody! Just know you're not just helping me out you're making big difference in these young people's lives too.
