Spelman is a women's college. I'm a man. But Spelman is part of the Atlanta University Center — which includes Morehouse (men's) and Clark Atlanta (co-ed). So can I take classes there?
I've heard that some classes are open to students from other AUC schools. Computer science, for example. Spelman has a strong CS program. I want in.
I called the registrar. They said: "Cross-registration is possible but limited. You need permission from both institutions. And some classes are women-only."
So some classes I can take. Some I can't.
Here's my question: Is it worth the hassle? Spelman has a great reputation. Their CS grads get hired at Google, Microsoft, Amazon. I want access to that network.
But will I feel like a guest in someone else's space? Will I be welcome?
I don't want to intrude. I just want to learn.
