With midterms creeping up, the stress is REAL! 😫 Memorizing lines for auditions, prepping for those nerve-wracking moments on stage, AND juggling crazy production schedules?

It's like a full-on whirlwind of drama! 🌪️ I could really use some advice on managing the pressure. How do you theatre folks at Georgia colleges handle the madness of midterms? Any tips on staying focused and keeping calm amidst the chaos? I'm all about collaboration and emotional expression in my work, but sometimes that can make it tough to stay grounded.

So any pointers from my fellow drama enthusiasts would be greatly appreciated! 🎬

I remember midterms being absolute chaos—balancing studio classes, productions, and gen eds was a nightmare. 😅

Here's my advice:
  1. Use the Fine Arts Library. It's quiet, it's beautiful, and it's full of other theatre kids suffering together. Misery loves company.
  2. Memorize lines during meals. Eat lunch, run lines. Eat dinner, run lines. Multitask like your life depends on it.
  3. Prioritize sleep. I know it's tempting to stay up, but exhausted actors can't remember lines and exhausted students can't write papers. 7 hours minimum.
  4. Lean on your people. Your castmates are going through the same thing. Study together, cry together, celebrate together.
  5. Remember why you're here. Midterms suck, but you chose this because you love it. Hold onto that.
