Anyone here knows more about these scholarships or where to find them? And what about opportunities for hands-on experience in film production?

SCHOLARSHIPS:

• chuck baker film studies: $1500, for sophomores/juniors, financial need considered
• eddie lambeth: $1500, acting/screenwriting focus
• martin holubar: $1000, for students who go above and beyond
• new georgia group grant: $500 for student projects, deadline usually march

all applications are self-nominating through the drama department . get a faculty member to support you!!

GEAR:
THE CAVE at lamar dodd is ELITE. sony mirrorless, fujifilm, lighting kits, audio recorders, the works. hours are m-th 9-4, friday 10-3 . get insurance through gallagher for big rentals.

PEOPLE:
campus casting is your friend for finding cast/crew . also the mfa film mixers are great for networking—they literally had one in january with free food and film trivia .
