First off—Handshake is your BEST friend and you need to be on it constantly. The UGA Career Center has a whole page about it . Companies post internships specifically targeting UGA students there, and some are even marked "UGA ONLY" like the Starr Insurance internship I saw—they literally only recruit from Georgia . For HR specifically, I've seen tons of Atlanta companies posting on Handshake lately. Holder Construction has an HR Coordinator internship where you'd actually do recruiting and onboarding . CRH/Oldcastle has multiple HR internships in Atlanta too, one focusing on early career development and another on general HR operations . They pay around $20-25/hour which is solid for interns.

Also, use the UGA Mentor Program through the career center . I connected with an alum at Coca-Cola's HR department and got coffee with them in Atlanta.
