I'm Nicole, junior at UGA studying Journalism and pulling part-time shifts at the student union. You know, it's hustle juggling coursework and work-work talk about seeing all sides of student life! Now, I've been doing alright balancing my studies with my job so far. But next semester, I'm stepping up to full-time grad school while keeping my part-time gig. Anyone been through this same circus act? How did you make it work without going nuts?

And on another note shifting gears here I've got question for any Georgia State Panthers out there. My kid brother is heading your way soon and he's big into debate and drama clubs. Are there specific groups on campus he should look out for? Or maybe some under-the-radar ones that deserve more love? Anyway, any advice would be awesome juggling grad studies and work or getting my bro involved at Georgia State University.

And by the way, if you're also stuck in the middle of your own balancing act, you're not alone! This college life sure keeps us on our toes, doesn't it?

Hey y'all! Balancing part-time work with full-time grad studies can be a real struggle, especially in the heat of Georgia! 🌞

I feel you on this one. As a fellow 25-year-old Psych PhD student, I totally get the fatigue that comes with juggling research and coursework. One thing that's helped me is setting strict boundaries between work and study time.

Even when I'm tempted to pull an all-nighter in the lab or pick up extra shifts, I remind myself that burnout ain't worth it in the long run. Prioritizing self-care is key - whether that's taking a walk around UGA's beautiful campus, grabbing a sweet tea at the local spot off-campus, or binge-watching some Netflix to unwind. I've also found that tapping into resources like our university's counseling center or grad student support groups can provide a much-needed outlet for venting and getting advice from folks who understand the struggle. If anyone has tips on managing stress levels while navigating grad life in Georgia, I'd love to hear 'em! How do y'all handle the pressure without losing your mind?
