Overcoming Writer's Block: Any Tips or Tricks?

It's just another day in paradise here at Mercer University! Juggling between Journalism assignments and part-time gig at the local newspaper can be quite rodeo ride. What's been really hitting me hard lately is writer's block. You know, those moments when the screen seems to glare back at you and your fingers don't dance on the keyboard like they used to? I've tried everything from going for long walks around our beautiful Macon campus, gulping down cups of coffee (local favorite Beans Coffee their caramel lattos are to die for), but still often find myself staring blankly at my Microsoft Word Doc. So, I'm reaching out to y’all. How do you overcome writer's block? Do you have any tips or tricks that might help reignite the spark in this aspiring journo? Maybe podcast to listen to, book that always gets the creative juices flowing or some unique writing exercise that never fails? If anyone else is planning on pulling an all-nighter in Tarver Library tonight, look for the girl with huge coffee cup, probably muttering about deadlines!
