I'm from Minnesota and I chose Georgia Tech partly because I'm so sick of snow. Like, genuinely cannot handle another winter scraping ice off my car at 6 AM. The idea of going to school where it's warm sounds like paradise.
But now I'm hearing from friends that "warm" in Georgia means something completely different. Like, "walk outside and immediately start sweating" different. One friend said "August in Atlanta is like standing in soup."
I need honest opinions from actual Georgia residents. Is the heat manageable? Do you get used to it? Are the buildings air conditioned? I don't want to trade freezing for melting.
