HOPE Scholarship Check-In: Keeping that 3.0 is STRESSFUL!

Just a little mid-semester vent/check-in for my fellow Georgia students riding the HOPE Scholarship (or Zell Miller if you're a super genius!). 😅

Keeping that 3.0 GPA is no joke, especially in challenging majors. I'm a pre-med major at Georgia State, and one bad organic chemistry exam can literally send my whole financial aid package into a tailspin. It's a lot of pressure, isn't it? It’s like, you're not just studying to learn, you're studying to keep your funding. 😩

I spend so much time in the library that the librarians know me by name. 👋

But hey, it's an amazing opportunity and I'm so grateful to live in a state that offers it. Just wanted to send out some solidarity to everyone else grinding to stay eligible!

Hey Antuan! Georgia State pre-med?? You're BRAVE. Ochem while maintaining HOPE is actual insanity. I'm at Southern and the 3.0 stress is real but pre-med is a whole different level. Have you looked into the HOPE "checkpoint" system? They check after spring semester and after fall, so if you had a bad semester you can usually recover if you lock in next time. Also the librarians knowing you by name is a flex honestly 💪
