I'm the Dean of the College of Engineering at Mercer University. So, have quite bit of experience in the academic field but today, find myself looking for some information. I've been hearing lot recently about students using online tutors for their English essays. Now, as an engineering dean, can't say that essay writing is my forte, so this concept intrigued me. Sure, back in my day we had study groups and office hours with professors, but this seems like whole new level. So, has anyone here actually used an online tutor? And if so, what was your experience like? Did you feel it really helped improve your essay writing or was it more just having someone to bounce ideas off of? Was it worth the investment? On another note Savannah College of Art and Design. It's been on my radar recently due to their film and digital media program. Anyone here studied that? It seems like such vibrant field full of creativity and innovation. What's the vibe like over there? Is it all work and no play or do they manage to keep things balanced?
