Can we talk about the real struggles in life - finding good spots in Athens for student discounts? I'm all about saving those hard-earned dollars while still having a good time. Are there any hidden gems where us broke college students can catch a break?

I've been on the lookout for places that offer discounts on food, clothes, or even study materials to ease the burden on my wallet. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Also, are there any cool study spots where I can grind through these engineering problems without breaking the bank?

Honestly the discount game in Athens is pretty underrated. Creature Comforts Brewing does student nights occasionally, not food but worth knowing. For clothes, check out the thrift stores on Clayton — Goodwill and a couple of independent spots. You wont find a "student discount" sign but the prices are already low enough that it doesnt matter.
For study materials, always check the UGA library digital resources before buying anything. Most textbooks are available through their online portal and students sleep on this constantly. Engineering textbooks especially — some of them are fully accessible through the catalog. Save yourself like $200 per semester just by checking there first.
Also, Five Star Deli has lunch specials that are super reasonable and filling. Good for when you need brain fuel between problem sets
