Hey Georgia students! I just accepted an internship (so excited! 🎉), and I HAVE to share how I did it because I used resources that not enough people know about. If you're wondering how to find a job as a georgia student, let me be your guide! 🗺️

First – GAfutures is literally life-changing. It's designed for Georgia students exploring careers, and it has tools for matching you to careers based on your interests, plus test prep for SAT/ACT/GRE . I spent hours on there figuring out what I actually wanted to do.

Then I discovered LearningExpress Job & Career Accelerator through my local library's website . It has over 5 MILLION job postings and helps you create resumes and practice interviewing. I used the mock interview tool like five times before my big interview! 🎤

For actual job hunting, I used Career Connector powered by Goodwill of North Georgia – you can chat with a Virtual Career Coach for free! So helpful for when I was stuck on my cover letter.

And here's a huge one: WorkSource Georgia! It's a federally-funded program through the Technical College System of Georgia . They offer WIOA funding for training and certifications. I qualified for help with resume workshops and they even connected me to local employers.

Don't sleep on Handshake either – my university career center set up my account, and I found my internship there . Plus, if you're at UGA, they have amazing tools like Big Interview for practice and Forage for virtual work experience with Fortune 500 companies .

Georgia is literally FULL of resources for students. You just have to know where to look! Anyone else used any of these? Let's help each other out! 🍑🤝🌟

I'm at UGA and have been struggling to find internships. Your post made me realize I've been sleeping on resources right in front of me.

I tried GAfutures after reading your post and the career matching tool is actually helpful. I also booked a session with WorkSource Georgia in Athens and they're helping me with resume rewrites AND connecting me to local employers.

The Handshake tip is so real—I found three internships through there that I never saw on Indeed. And Big Interview through UGA's career center has been amazing for practice.

For anyone at Georgia Tech, they have similar tools through Career Buzz and Co-op programs . Georgia really does have so much!
