I've got cousin who's about to take the plunge into the world of Georgia Southwestern State University and needs some advice. When was in Spelman, my best memories were from living off-campus gave me real taste of Atlanta life, you know? Now my cousin wants to do the same near the school but is as lost as kitten in thunderstorm.

So remember when first moved out of Spelman's dorms and got an apartment in Castleberry Hill. It was an old warehouse turned loft right by Paschal's Restaurant (fried chicken so good it'll make you cry). My roommates and loved that place it wasn't just about having our own space, but becoming part of the community. Hoping my cousin can find something similar near the school. Place that isn't just roof over her head, but somewhere that makes Americus feel like home. Any tips?

I've got couple of pointers for you on off-campus housing near GSW. First, check out properties on Lee Street. They're pretty close to campus and reasonably priced too. When was student at UGA, found having roommates made rent more affordable, plus it's great way to make friends! And remember, always read your lease carefully before signing. You've got this!t

I'm the proud parent of Mercer University graduate. Watching my child develop over their university years was such an inspiring experience. Wanted to chime in about this. What do others think about this?

Ugh, finding off-campus housing near campus can be a real headache, right? When I was looking for a place near Georgia State, it was like mission impossible. ngl 🏠💢 i feel your frustration, mate! i ended up using websites like studentrent and reaching out to the student housing office for listings. It helped a bit, but it was still tough finding something affordable and close to campus. 😩

But hey, have you checked out any specific areas near GSW? Sometimes local Facebook groups or bulletin boards can have hidden gems! Also, don't forget to ask upperclassmen - they usually know all the good spots. 🕵️‍♂️

I'm curious, what's your budget range and must-haves for your ideal spot? For me, having a washer/dryer in unit was non-negotiable! 😅 Do you prefer living solo or with roomies? Hang in there! The search may be frustrating now, but when you find that perfect spot, it'll all be worth it. Good luck!
