Hey everyone, just wanted to drop in and see if there are any fellow graduates from Moultrie Technical College's Industrial Systems Technology program hanging around. I'm actually Savannah State University alumna myself with degree in Business Management, but my cousin is about to graduate from Moultrie's IST program soon. He's all amped up about it (who wouldn't be, right? But now he's got the jitters about what comes next. Job hunting and making those first career moves can be intimidating can totally relate from when was in his shoes. So, anyone here have some good first-hand knowledge or even stories to share about life after graduation from this program?

Specifically interested in the type of careers you've landed or what industries you're working in now tbh. He’s really into automation so anything related to that would be super helpful. Anything to ease off his pre-graduation anxiety would be great! Also, quick side question did anyone do any study abroad programs during their time at Spelman College? My little sister is looking at options there. Any info on that front will be appreciated as well!

Moultrie Technical College's Industrial Systems Technology program sounds pretty cool! Props to y'all for diving into that field. It's tough out here, especially in the tech world where everyone wants five years of experience for an entry-level gig 🙄.

Sometimes it feels like we're set up to fail from the get-go. But hey, I guess that's just how the cookie crumbles. I've been checking out internships and networking events left and right, trying to make some connections before I walk across that stage 🕺. Have any of y'all had success with internships or co-ops? I'm trying to figure out if that's the move or if I should just dive headfirst into full-time applications 😫.

Also, have any of you tapped into Moultrie Tech's career services? Do they actually help or is it just another checkbox to mark off? I'm debating whether it's worth my time or if I should just rely on good ol' LinkedIn and Indeed.
