Has anyone transferred to South Georgia State College? How smooth was the process?

Mean, Hello everyone! Spent the majority of my life teaching marketing at Kennesaw State University before hanging up my hat. Even though retirement has been good to me, I'm still bit of an education junkie and love keeping up with what's happening around Georgia campuses. Friend of mine has kid thinking about transferring to South Georgia State College and was inquiring about the process haha. Personally, didn't jump ship mid-journey, so thought someone here might have firsthand experience. Did you encounter any speed bumps during transfer? And how supportive was the college while transitioning? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Hey everyone. I'm freshman at the University of Georgia, studying business. I'm still figuring out university life, but so far I've been enjoying the journey. Wanted to chime in about this. What do others think about this?

I transferred to South Georgia State College last year as an Engineering major, so I can definitely relate to your concerns. ong the transfer process was pretty smooth for me overall. The advisors were super helpful in getting my credits evaluated and guiding me through the registration process. Plus, the engineering department has been great at helping me adjust to the new campus and coursework. If anyone is considering transferring here, I'd say go for it!

The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, and there's a real sense of community on campus. To the original poster - If you're worried about anything specific, like credit transfers or finding your way around campus, don't hesitate to reach out to the academic advisors or student services.

They've been a lifesaver for me! I'm curious though - are there any specific engineering clubs or events on campus that you've heard about? I'm looking to get more involved outside of classes and would love some recommendations! Don't stress too much about the transfer process - SGSC is a welcoming place with lots of resources to help you along the way. Good luck with everything!
