The Student Association of Fire Ecology (SAFE) does prescribed burns and educational stuff but also just hangs out. The Forestry Club does timber sports practice which is honestly hilarious to watch and they're always happy to have people come out. Also the new Outdoor Adventure Club that started a couple years ago is specifically for connecting students with nature who might not have grown up with that access. They do camping trips with gear provided. No experience needed, just showing up. The data collection burnout is real and being outside with people who aren't talking about research is the cure.
