Hey Georgia peeps!
I've been working at a coffee shop in Midtown for the past year and honestly? I'm over it. The tips are okay, the free coffee is nice, but I'm graduating in 2025 and my resume still says "barista" and "retail associate."
I need a job that actually means something. Something I can put on my resume and talk about in interviews. Atlanta has so many companies and opportunities, but I feel like I don't even know where to start looking.
I've applied to some internships but they either want juniors/seniors with more experience (?? how do I get experience if no one gives me experience??) or they're unpaid and I literally cannot afford to work for free. Rent doesn't pay itself.
Does anyone know of companies in Atlanta that hire students for part-time roles that are actually relevant? Like marketing assistant, social media help, admin work at a cool company, something like that? I don't even care if the pay is slightly lower if the experience is good.
I've looked at the career hub at school but honestly the postings there are kind of sparse. I've also tried LinkedIn but half the "entry level" jobs want 3-5 years experience which is hilarious.
Specifically looking for:

Also if there are any networking events or student groups where people share opportunities, let me know! Trying to level up my life here.

Specifically looking for:
- Flexible with class schedules
- Actually in Atlanta (or remote but Atlanta-based company)
- Pays at least $15/hour (I have bills y'all)
- Gives me real skills, not just busy work
